It is due to supply and demand in addition to him signing fewer books these days. As great collector editions have become more scarce, it is even more important to choose ones that are in the best condition possible.

 

We have put together this collector's guide that will help you filter out some of the sub-par books that have become somewhat common. This article contains a few basic guidelines to follow, general book grading definitions, along with photos to illustrate common issues and flaws that have a direct correlation to value.  This is what to look for, what to avoid, how to make sure you are adding something original and authentic to your library.
