to be: Are remarques really a good idea? To remarque or not to remarque. That is the question. There has been a growing trend in the past few years of artists creating a remarque within a book after its publication and subsequent release to the public.

Simply put, a remarque is a small drawing created on a larger piece of work. This is usually what an illustrator would do by hand, or by a print in some cases. In some rare instances, a remarque may be a full-blown color sketch that
takes up an entire page. Either way, it’s an original piece of work by the artist that also adds their personal signature.
